This pretty fern has green lacy fronds to 50cm wide and grows 10-20cm high. The foliage is suitable for floral art.

Adiantum aethiopicum is suitable for an undershrub in part to full shade. It prefers sand or loam soil which may range from boggy or damp to well drained.

A. aethiopicum likes acid or neutral soil and is suited to a pot, hanging basket, rockery or shade house in the Adelaide hills or plains.
