Meetings and Excursions for 2010 General Meetings The General meetings of the society are held on the fourth Thursday of each month except December at the Unley Citizens Centre at 18 Arthur Street, Unley (next to the Ambulance station). The meetings start at 7.45 pm. Visitors are welcome. Library Services, Book Sales and sale of Propagation aids are usually available at General meetings. Local Group Meetings See "Local Groups" Council Meetings and other Committee Meetings These meetings are held at the society's clubrooms at 21A Richards Tce, Goodwood. If you are interested in attending any of these meetings please contact The Australian Plants Society by email. Conservation Conservation work (COOTS) is carried out at Port Parham, Hope Valley, Lands End and Pine Point. Pine Point is on Yorke Peninsula, about 160km from Adelaide and about 18km from Ardrossan. The project site is in the Muloowurtie Conservation Reserve, and not on the coast where the settlement of Pine Point itself is. Port Parham is north of Adelaide, about 50km from Gepps Cross. Lands End is at the tip of the Fleurieu Peninsula, near Cape Jervis. The conference will be held on Saturday 1st October and the seminar from 3rd to 7th October at Westminster College, Marion. Accommodation will be available at the college and at local caravan parks and hotels. Pre and post-conference tours will visit Kangaroo Island, Flinders Ranges and South-east and Coorong.
